StartToday SD Incentive Awardees

As part of DLR’s ongoing Registered Apprenticeship expansion efforts, funds were made available in May 2023 to support employers, registered apprenticeship sponsors, and education or training providers interested in developing new Registered Apprenticeship Programs.

Businesses could apply for up to a maximum of $15,000 in funding to help offset the initial start-up costs when developing a new program or a maximum of $10,000 in funding to help offset the costs when adding an occupation to an existing program.

U.S. DOL Apprenticeship Building America Grant and the DLR State Apprenticeship Grant fund this initiative. Awardees spend a few months working closely with DLR staff to develop their programs and submit them to U.S. DOL for approval.
