Development of new Registered Apprenticeship programs in high schools

2022 Start Today SD Pathway Partnership Initiative

As part of the Department of Labor and Regulation’s ongoing Registered Apprenticeship expansion efforts, funds were made available to support employers, registered apprenticeship sponsors, and education or training providers interested in the development of new High School Registered Apprenticeship Programs. Eligible entities could apply for up to a maximum of $35,500 in funding to help offset the initial start-up costs when developing a new High School Registered Apprenticeship Program. U.S. DOL Apprenticeship Building America Grant funds 100% of this initiative. Awardees will spend the next few months working closely with DLR staff to develop their programs and submit them to U.S. DOL for approval.
